Here's How StraighterLine Works:
StraighterLine provides students with a new option for taking required college courses online, built on the expertise of seasoned, respected, and proven educators and partners. StraighterLine's college courses materials come from McGraw, Hill and undergo rigorous scrutiny by respected academics and administrators at our Partner Colleges, by the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC), a federally recognized accreditor, and by the American Council on Education's (ACE) Credits Recommendation Service.

StraighterLine online college courses are affordable with three convenient options, $99 per month plus $39 for every courses started, $399 per course or Freshman Year of College for $999. This includes free live, on demand instruction. Students are required to obtain a textbook separately.

If you enroll in StraighterLine for $99 per month, you can take as many college courses as you like for $39 per course, for as long as you stay enrolled in the program. Under this plan, StraighterLine will automatically bill you $99 once per month. Monthly billing occurs on a 28 day cycle, which is not refundable. However, you may cancel at any time before your next billing.

StraighterLine's $399 online college courses are fully refundable within one week of starting, as long as you haven't taken your first assessment. Under this program you have access to your courses for six months.

Freshman Year of College for $999 is our most innovative option. Students who sign up for freshman year for $999 can save thousands of dollars on their college education and still get all the other great benefits of StraighterLine’s online college courses.

This plan is the most cost effective method for completing online college courses and earning the credit you need for your college degree. With this program you pay only $39 for each additional course you start as long as you stay in the $99 month access program. This program is ideal if you:

• are trying to complete multiple online college courses, Remember each additional course is only $39.
• plan to finish a single course in less than four months.
• want access to your course after you complete the course requirements.
• hope to save up to 90% on your first year of college tuition.
• intend to start online college classes but have some hesitation about online learning, worst case is you don’t enjoy the model and only pay for one month, this almost never happens. This is our most popular option. Students who sign up for monthly access can save thousands of dollars on their college education.

Freshman Year of College for $999:
The Freshman Year of College for $999 program is designed to help colleges students and their families address rampant rising tuition costs of college education. Students can take up to 10 StraighterLine courses for a single fee of $999 and realize savings of more than 90% versus the first year tuition at many colleges.
This program works best if you:

• Want to earn up to a full freshman year equivalent of college credits before you enroll in college to complete a degree.
• Have a tight college budget, you save the most money with the greatest flexibility on this plan.
• Prefer not to think about per course or monthly access fees.
• Enjoy a flexible lifestyle and want to take your time going through the material, you have 12 months of access to all the courses.
• Are ready to get started before getting to campus, while working or juggling your other obligations. This is our most innovative option. Students who sign up for freshman year for $999 can save thousands of dollars on their college education and still get all the other great benefits of StraighterLine’s online college courses.

Individual Course Purchase, $399;
If you are not interested in paying a monthly fee then the individual online college course purchase option is right for you. You can still save thousands of dollars compared to other college courses. This program is ideal if you:
• want to take your time, up to six months of access going through the course without worryingabout monthly fees.
• only need one or two courses, you can always take as many courses as you want but they will cost a bit more in this model.
• are thinking about online college courses then this is a great way to test the waters while minimizing your costs.

Earn college credits at thousands of colleges with StraighterLine's online college courses.
Choose:
A) Apply to one of StraighterLine's Partner Colleges. If you want to speed your enrollment and acceptance apply to one of StraighterLine's Partner College. StraighterLine's partner colleges are all accredited, and have all agreed to award college credits directly for StraighterLine online distance learning courses. ... OR

B) Any school that awards college credits for courses evaluated by the American Council on Education's, ACE, Credit Recommendation Service. Thousands of colleges award credit for ACE evaluated courses. To be sure about a specific college, check the website or call the college where you wish to enroll and ask if they accept ACE recommended coursework. To use the ACE process:

1. Be sure the college in which you want to enroll will accept ACE recommended courses. If not, consider one of StraighterLine's Partner Colleges. A list of ACE affiliated schools can be found here.
2. Successfully complete a StraighterLine college course (70% or higher final average).
3. Alert the StraighterLine course advisor that you want your StraighterLine college credit listed on an ACE transcript.
4. ACE will send you a confirmation email with a link for you to follow to login. If you do not already have an ACE account, StraighterLine will provide you with a student ID that you will use to login. ACE charges $40 to create an account. If you already have an ACE account, you will use your Social Security Number to login. Please tell your Course Advisor your Social Security Number so they can send your course completion information to ACE. StraighterLine will not store your social security number.
